Last Thursday was as much fun, if not more, than any of the regular fox hunts. If I could not get one fox, I would move on and (usually) find another just a few KHz away. 40 Meters worked best for me for the first 45 minutes. I then switched to 80 Meters, but did not have nearly the luck that I thought I would, so I went back to finish on 40 meters. About 15 pelts on the two bands combined.

I look forward to the next round, and thanks to all those involved as Foxes, administrators, helpers, etc.

What a hoot! The "propagation curve" was a square wave and I think I heard one and a half cycles-- equal periods of reasonable propagation and just nothin'. During one of the dark periods I went looking for other foxes and couldn't hear much of anything. I'll be interested to see how things went on 80. Overall it was a lot of fun, especially since it was more relaxed than a normal Fox Hunt and there was even time to exchange greetings now and then. Big question is what to do with my Thursday evenings between now and the start of the Summer hunt! Thanks to all who participated, GL ES DX, 73 DE ET
