A QRP Fox Hunt is a series of 90 minute Amateur Radio events during which low-power (QRP) stations, or "Hounds," attempt to make contact with two specific QRP stations designated as "The Fox."

Summer QRP Fox Hunt
Announcing...  

FOXTRAVAGANZA 2024
The QRP Fox Hunt Committee is delighted to announce the 2024 20M Foxtravaganza, which will take place on:  
Thursday, September 12

During Foxtravaganza, ALL of the 2024 Summer Foxes, Alternates, and Committee members will be eligible to call "CQ FOX" on 20M at the usual time, 0100z, Friday,  Thursday in the USA.   The exchange is the usual, and bragging logs may be posted, but there will be no "official" results.  Just fun.  How many Foxes can  you work when there are 15 or so available??   May the Fox be ever in your favor....
  
2024 20M Final Results


The Summer 2024 20M Fox Hunt will begin on Thursday, June 20th, 2024 and run through Thursday, August 29, 2024.  There will be two hunts each Thursday, so 10 Foxes are scheduled for two hunts each.

QRP Fox Hunt Definitions:
   Fox    =    The station the Hounds try to work.   
   Hound    =    Each QRP station trying to work The Fox.   

Team
=
Group of 5 hounds acting as a team, to participate in the 
teams competition.
   Pelt    =    Slang for a completed QSO.   
   QRO    =    Any output power greater than 5 watts.   
   QRP    =    5 watts or less RF output from the transmitter.   
   QRPp    =    1 watt or less RF output from the transmitter.   
   QSO    =    Complete exchange of Signal Report, QTH,
Operator's Name, & Power Output. 		  
   QTH    =    State, Canadian Province (or Country if outside US/Can).
