"It's a fine fox chase, my boys!"
George Washington, Battle of Princeton, 1777

A QRP Fox Hunt is a series of 90 minute Amateur Radio events during which low-power (QRP) stations, or "Hounds," attempt to make contact with specific QRP stations designated as "The Fox."

The Al K0FRP
Memorial
Foxtravaganza!

       Thursday April 17th 2014

As the final event of the 2013-2014 Winter Fox Hunts, the K0FRP Foxtravaganza! will be held Thursday evening, from 0100Z- 0230Z (Friday, UCT).

All Foxes, Alternates, and Committee members will operate on 40M or 80M (or both) and all Foxes will report their names as "AL."

All Hounds are encouraged to see how many "ALs" they can work. Activity will center on the QRP frequencies (3.560 and 7.040) but will not be restricted to the usual 20KHz, so listen high and low!

When Al became a Silent Key in January he held all sorts of ham radio records and distinctions, including the 3rd place all-time Fox log. There's no more fitting tribute from the sport that Al loved so much, than to get out there Thursday evening and make some noise!
